We got
award for our
idea in ‘Youth for Innovation’ competition organized by
World bank for promoting rural entrepreneurs. Vigyan
ashram completed 25 years in 2007. Over the years thousands of
students passed out from Vigyan ashram.
Many of them are successful entrepreneurs. We formed association of
our alumni. Objective of the association is :
1) To conduct training program for
empowerment of its members.
2) To take up policy issues facing its members
with Govt. bodies. Viz. Electricity, taxes, interest rate etc.
3) To encourage young entrepreneurs to start
enterprise in rural areas.
4) To provide apprenticeship training for
trained youth.
5) To work as mentor for young entrepreneurs
to establish in the market.
6) To help in getting bank loan for
apprenticeship trainees.
7) To encourage fair competition, this will
result in growth of the business.
We prepared a database
of our alumni. Its available on the website www.renindia.in .
So far 4 training program and get together of our alumni is
organized.
A new scheme of bridge
loan is formed and we are supporting our alumni, who got good idea
but unable to get bank finance. In last 6 months ,
7 students has given a bridge loan.
